Kathryn completed her Bachelor of Music Performance in Voice in 2009 at the Victorian College of the Arts and Music with first class Honours. She also obtained her AMusA in Flute in 2002.
In 2022 Kathryn performed with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Victorian Opera and The Melbourne Bach Choir. She was also nominated for a green room award for "outstanding performer in a lead role" for her work in Echo and Narcissus (Victorian Opera 2021).
In 2021 Kathryn performed the role of “Leila” in “The Pearlfishers” by Bizet for Victorian Opera. She also performed “Echo” in the premiere of a new work: a double bill “Echo and Narcissus/ Cassandra”for Victorian Opera; and the role of “Blue Fairy” in “The Sleeping Beauty” by Resphighi for Victorian Opera.
In 2020 Kathryn performed the role of “Slave” in “Salome”(Strauss) for Victorian Opera.
In 2019 Kathryn performed roles with Opera Australia in "Il Viaggio a Reims", and with Victorian Opera's "Parsifal" and "Barber of Seville".
In 2018 Kathryn made her debut as a soloist in the Sydney Opera House in Opera Australia's "Great Opera Hits".
Highlight performances in 2017 included the role of Frasquita in "Carmen" (Bizet) with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, and several productions with Victorian Opera such as the role of the Nightingale in "Sleeping Beauty" (Respighi) and the Queen in "The Princess and the Pea" (Toch).
In 2016, Kathryn,completed a season working at the Vienna State Opera, where she was covering roles such as Fiordiligi in "Cosi Fan Tutte" (Mozart), and Pamina in "Die Zauberflöte" (Mozart). She also covered smaller roles such as Ortlinde in "Die Walkure" (Wagner), Pousette in "Manon" (Massenet), Echo in "Ariadne Auf Naxos" (Strauss), and Priestess in "Aida" (Verdi). Kathryn was also cast at the Vienna State Opera in a production of "The Cunning little Vixen" by Janacek, in the role of "Hen".
Kathryn has won the Opera Foundation Vienna award, and first prize in both the 3MBS Victorian Young Performer of the Year Award, and in The Herald Sun Aria in Melbourne, Australia.
